Frequently Asked Questions
When can I actually change my plan?
Open enrollment for individual and family plans runs November 1 through January 15 in Pennsylvania. Medicare's annual enrollment runs October 15 through December 7. Outside those windows, life events like a move, a marriage, or losing coverage at work can open a special enrollment period. If you're not sure whether you qualify, ask; it costs nothing to check.
What does your help cost?
Nothing. I'm paid by the insurance carriers, and you pay the same premium whether you enroll through me or on your own. The difference is that you get a local person who picks up the phone when something goes wrong.
Medicare Advantage or a Supplement: which is right for me?
It depends on your doctors, your prescriptions, and how you like to budget. Advantage plans bundle coverage with lower premiums and network rules. Supplements cost more monthly but keep original Medicare's flexibility. In a plan review we walk through both with your actual doctors and medications on the table.
What happens if my doctor leaves my plan's network?
It happens, and it's fixable. Depending on timing you may qualify for a special enrollment period, or we find the plan your doctor moved to. This is exactly the kind of call I want you to make to me instead of an 800 number.
I have a few employees. Is group coverage worth it?
Sometimes, and sometimes an alternative like an ICHRA or helping employees shop individual plans works out better for everyone. Bring me your headcount and budget and I'll show you the real numbers side by side.
